KIND WORDS FROM OUR COLLABORATORS

I first worked with Marty in 1990 on a bathroom complete gut and remodel. Since then he and his crew have done countless projects both large and small in that 1892 home and my current condo. I couldnt recommend a more thoughtful, easy to talk with, completely reliable and dependable contractor. You wont be disappointed.Read More

Marty was the contractor for a Penfield job we designed [remodeled the fireplace surround, and created a mudroom from an entry closet]. His communication skills, keeping the client and us as designers frequently informed, was exemplary. The work of his crew turned out beautifully, they were flexible in making changes along the way as needed...plus, the client loved him/them. We have since recommended Marty for a Canandaigua job he completed with much the same results.Read More

I have worked with Marty over the last 12 years. I am an architect and recommend him regularly. I interface with him during the design process, and he encourages that. This helps align the home owners vision and budget, so that we can provide what they can afford. I rely on his estimating a lot! Marty makes construction look easy. That is due to his experience and exceptional ability to coordinate subcontractors and schedules. He has a positive attitude which goes along way with all the people that are involved with each project. Marty also has a good understanding of what clients need. He plans the construction around their lives, because he will be right in the middle of it for a few months! He communicates and informs them on decision making ahead of time, encouraging planning so that the schedule is maintained. Each home is slightly different in its detailing and architectural style. Marty's work is excellent quality. It accurately reflects the detailing of the existing home to create a seamless transition. Jennifer Takatch, AIA Architectura, PCRead More

I have worked with Marty through two large remodel/additions in older homes I have owned. The first was a bathroom and study addition in a 1920's house. When I sold the house nearly 15 years later, this was the single feature that everyone talked about who looked at the house. It looked brand-new because the quality of work was so high. The second project is a large remodel of my carriage house in an older brick home. The carriage house was in serious dis-repair and needed to be completely stripped down to the exterior walls and the garage floor re-poured. This required architectural and engineering design. Marty's contribution to the design process easily saved me $20K+ by considering how the spaces within the carriage house were going to be used. It was his creative thinking that brought about this re-design when neither the engineer or the architect considered these options. Plans were redrawn and the project moved along according to schedule but at considerable savings to me. Marty is very professional but personable, approachable and clearly enjoys his work. He keeps close track of sub-contractors and is readily available on the job-site. If not present, he is easily reachable and responds both thoughtfully and promptly. He has the obvious respect of his professional colleagues, enabling him to consistently complete projects within deadlines and often before-hand. His estimates are consistently on-point with no hidden or un-disclosed costs. He is a pleasure to work with and I would choose to work with him again on subsequent projects.Read More
